Kala’s “The Voyage Collection” celebrates powerful life stories through its collaboration with Maori cultural artist Sam Mangakahia. The Guidance design, one of the three pieces in this collection, is inspired by the Polynesian belief that sea turtles (‘aumakua) are spiritual guardians, guiding the way with wisdom and protection. This mahogany concert ukulele, beautifully laser-etched with Sam’s artwork, is a tribute to the exchange of guidance and knowledge in our journeys through life. Each ukulele comes with a Voyage Collection gig bag and a story card that shares the meaningful message behind the art.
